Located amidst the diverse flora and fauna of the Kalpitiya Peninsula, Villa Santé blends the grandeur of a luxury, tailor-made, holiday home with that of the local landscape of palms, lagoons and sea front.

Designed by the renowned architect Hirante Welandawe, Villa Santé incorporates a skillful interplay of the indoors and outdoors to create a perfect setting for home away from home. Viewed aerially, the building holds a resemblance to a ship's wooden hull, which links in with the lagoon location.

Situated right atop the Kalpitiya Lagoon, the villa has easy access to both the tranquil beach (November to March) and Kite Surfing (April to October).

Signature Rooms

Our rooms vary in composition but are all spacious and feature private terraces and stunning views of both lagoon and ocean. Our two ground floor rooms feature private garden terraces, and oversized bathrooms with ceiling showers. Our top floor rooms come with private balconies and two of the three come equipped with bath tubs. All rooms are air conditioned, come with luxury amenities, and can sleep two adults.

Villa Santé is perched on one of the best Kite Surfing spots in the world. For avid Kite Surfers who enjoy the plaudits of luxury, high end villa living - Kalpitiya’s west bank is home to two lagoons that enjoy a six month long constant wind that is perfect for Kite Surfers of varying skill levels.

Dolphin & Whale Watching

Another of Kalpitya’s claims to fame – the untouched Ocean wildlife that sits a mere 15 minutes off the shoreline, protected by the civil war that stunted development and fishing in the area for 30 years. Local marine life has flourished and as a result thousands of Spinner Dolphins can be seen chasing Blue & Yellow fin Tuna during the season on a daily basis. A variety of whales can be spotted too, including the charmingly curious and rare Sperm Whale!

Wilpattu Wildlife Safari

Wilpattu, about one and a half hours from Villa Santé, is one of the best National Parks in Sri Lanka. Catch sightings of the gorgeous Sri Lankan Leopard, Wild Elephants, Sloth Bears, Mugger Crocodiles, and a variety of birds.

Wilpattu, uniquely named for the many little lakes, Willu’s, spread out through the National Park. Although the forestry is quite dense, Wilpattu is easily one of the best spots in Sri Lanka to spot Leopard!

Watersports and Fishing

Fishing off Kalpitiya is probably one of the Oceans best kept secrets – chase small to medium sized Tuna with the Dolphins or go even further out for big game! Catch Yellow Fin Tuna, Blue Fin Tuna, Sail Fish, Seer Fish, Marlin (including the elusive Black Marlin), Barracuda and many others. Fishing spots are known by the locals and are usually a bit further out. The best time to head out fishing is dawn and dusk.
